Ansys, a Pittsburgh-area-based engineering simulation company, recently entered into a strategic collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS).

The partnership will enable the deployment of Ansys products on AWS.

“Cloud computing accelerates and extends simulation by removing hardware barriers and IT restrictions, streamlining all processes and workflows,” said Shane Emswiler, senior vice president of products at Ansys. “By leveraging Ansys Gateway powered by AWS, customers will have a stronger three-tiered approach to driving their innovation and efficiency by performing more simulations, faster, and with more flexibility on AWS.

Ansys Gateway offers highly scalable engineering simulations.

AWS customers will have access to Ansys Gateway through AWS Marketplace. This will allow customers to access their existing Ansys software applications, pay for cloud resources only when used, and connect Ansys software to third-party applications with minimal technical skills.

Customers will manage and advance their end-to-end simulation solutions, computer-aided engineering, computer-aided design, advanced electronics design automation, and high-performance computing, all in one online platform.

Cloud computing allows users to maintain full control of their data across all projects and deploy target platforms in minutes anywhere in the world.

AWS products include Computing, Storage, Internet of Things, and Digital Twin.
