Launching Telegram WebK and WebZ web apps: what’s the difference?

Telegram, the instant messaging app has launched two new web apps: Telegram WebZ and WebK. While the previous web version seemed a bit redundant, the new apps now offer a modern design with a sleek interface and additional features. Telegram WebZ, WebK: What’s new, what’s different

While the Telegram WebZ and WebK desktop apps offer similar aesthetics, the appearance difference is visible. Both versions include: animations, stickers, chat folders, search, and dark mode support. The Chats, All, Channels, and Work tabs are on the left with the search bar above them. On the right side you will find the active chat window above which the user’s information can be seen. The subtle difference that can be seen on the two web apps is that WebZ gets less white space than the WebK version and supports monochrome wallpapers. While the two identical versions probably could have been paired with one, Telegram notes that they have made two versions because they “believe in internal competition”. “The two new apps work equally well on mobile devices as they do on desktops,” Telegram quoted in its article.

According to the company, the new web versions do not yet support secret chats, voice chats, media editor, multiple accounts, video and voice calls. Additionally, the WebK and WebK web apps do not have the functionality to save GIFs, share location, self-destruct media, edit, add threads, or remove threads from lists. Telegram WebK and WebZ cards only have “Not Supported” listed on the page.

“Please check these cards: WebK card and WebZ card. They contain lists of all the major features that are not yet supported or not fully implemented in new apps, ”Telegram said on its page.

The two new applications were initially Point through Droid Labyrinth.

Telegram WebZ, WebK: How to use it?

To use any of these web apps, you will need to install the Telegram mobile app on your device. Once installed and logged in, you can click on any of these links Where You will be prompted to sign in using your mobile number, after which an OTP will be sent to your phone. Alternatively, you can use the login option by scanning the QR code that you will find under the contact number field. Once scanned, you will be able to access your Telegram account on the desktop.
