Vanguard’s “Server Snapshot Error” Kicking Players from the Game
Call of Duty: Vanguard is the latest installment in the long-running franchise. Launched on November 5, it is developed by Sledgehammer Games and published by Activision.
Following in the footsteps of Call of Duty: Warzone, the game does not feature a campaign mode and instead is based on the birth of the special forces that were created to fight threats at the very end of WWII.
But as is the case with recent Call of Duty video games, Vanguard is no stranger to bugs and glitches. Additionally, it looks like the infamous 5573 dev error has been carried over along with several other issues that crop up from time to time.
It turns out that many say the error is displayed whenever they are about to win the game or at the end of the round. You can see the error in the image below.
I can predict when I’m about to be kicked from the server. I am either in 1st place or in 2nd place about to get 1st place. And, my team grows the goals well. It’s like a watchmaking job. We are winning and I am part of a strong team ready to play the goals. I’m getting multiple kills like you wouldn’t believe, but not enough to get multiple streaks. I push and as soon as we get close to another team in a kill box situation, BAM! Server snapshot error.
@CallofDuty @SHGames repairs this cutting edge game. I understand you’re a small business just getting your feet wet, but god damn it like every other game, there’s a dumb problem. Server snapshot, server disconnection or game freezes during or after a match.
Some say the problem has persisted since the game was launched, but now it looks like it affects many players in every other game. Additionally, players say the error appears if they are on a kill streak.
They also added that the problem only persists in Blitz mode, while others say it is caused whenever they use the dead drop during the match. But since the developers at Vanguard haven’t said anything about it yet, it’s still unclear when the server snapshot error will be fixed.
When they do, we’ll update this article to reflect the same, so be sure to stay tuned for more updates. In the meantime, you can take a look at our dedicated COD Vanguard bug tracker to see a list of issues affecting gamers.
